There is nothing quite as easy for changing the whole look of a bedroom, as throwing on a completely different comforter. Voila. No need to paint or change furniture style. (No heavy moving.) You will have a versatile comforter bedroom.
Most comforters are easy to wash. Throw them in a large size washer and dryer. One word of caution, those super comfy down comforters look and are awesomely snuggly and light (sometimes used for patients with cancer or multiple sclerosis pain since they are very light and do not affect pain sensors like heavy materials.), but they require special care. It is imperative that they are fluffed every day or they will lose the ability to fluff. They do require a duvet cover to protect them from accidents or household dirt. If they are aired occasionally, they should require dry cleaning only every few years. Should you insist on cleaning with water, take your comforter to a super sized machine that has a front door, use no chlorine bleach, and dry slowly and thoroughly with medium heat. The down can burn and it can develop mildew if wet.
Platform beds are popular now for modern or minimalist style bedrooms and a monotone comforter with matching sheets, but no bed ruffle, is the perfect touch to finish an “I am organized” look.
If your style tends more toward comfort or even luxury, bring on the fabric, lots of fabric. You can mix or match or coordinate a multitude of colors and textures and prints. This is where comforter bedroom sets shine!
Children can be encouraged to be organized by being surrounded by a coordinated color scheme. Their comforter bedroom can be designed around their favorite color or personality. Changing the décor when grandma visits and the child has to sleep on the den sofa is as easy as changing the comforter bedroom set!
